Doc Edge Pride presents: Studio 54

7pm

event Details

There aren’t many nightclubs that change the world forever; that achieve the perfect alchemy of music, lights and ambience; that create the sensation of total freedom; of being part of something special; historic even. Studio 54 was the epicentre of 70s hedonism - not only redefining the nightclub but also symbolising an entire era. Its co-owners, Ian Schrager and Steve Rubell, two Jewish friends from Brooklyn, seemed to come out of nowhere to suddenly preside over a new kind of New York society. Now, 39 years after the velvet rope was first slung across the club’s hallowed threshold, Studio 54 tells the real story behind the greatest club of all time, the result being a film that feels like a glitzy, enchanting and hedonistic night out in, and of, itself.

The ticket price includes a reception following the screening with drinks & canapés.
