At the Orange setting, all visitors to the Gallery must comply with conditions of entry that require you to wear a face mask. Hygiene measures will be in place.

If you are feeling unwell or have COVID-19 symptoms, are a household contact of someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, are awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test or are subject to isolation requirements, please do not enter the Gallery.

To facilitate this, we are implementing a comprehensive range of safety measures to meet Government and Ministry of Health COVID-19 guidelines.

Here’s a rundown of some of the measures we’ve put in place at Orange:

  • As per Government conditions, all visitors must wear a face mask while visiting indoor public spaces, including the Gallery.
  • All high-contact areas are regularly cleaned throughout the day.
  • Hand sanitiser stations are located across the Gallery for you to use.

No, as of 11.59pm Monday 4 April 2022, you no longer require a My Vaccine Pass to visit the Gallery.

As of 11.59pm Monday 4 April 2022, there is no requirement to prove your vaccination status to visit the Gallery.

Yes, the Government requires that visitors to indoor public spaces, like museums and galleries, must wear a face mask. To keep yourself and others safe, the Gallery does not allow entry without a face mask, unless you have a medical exemption.

You will see our Gallery Assistants, retail staff and other Gallery team members also wearing masks while on your visit to us.

Yes – the Gallery's free cloakroom is open during Orange.

Yes, the Gallery's café is open as usual at Orange. 

Our free daily Gallery tours are available at Orange and will resume from winter 2022. Check What’s On for details.

Yes, the Gallery’s Creative Learning Centre is open at Orange. From Friday 15 April to 12 June 2022, ArtLab at the Creative Learning Centre presents Squiggla – a gymnasium for creative visual thinking.

The Members Lounge is open at at Orange. We encourage you to maintain a respectful distance between yourself and others not in your group. 

Our Research Library is open by appointment 1–5pm Wednesdays and Thursdays only. To make an appointment, please contact us in advance via email or on +64 9 307 7714.
