Terms & Conditions

Any ticket issued is subject to the following conditions and may be revoked in the case of a breach of any of the specified conditions. Tātaki Auckland Unlimited Limited as trustee of Tātaki Auckland Unlimited Trust operating as Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki (“Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki”) may change or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.

Your ticket

You can download or print your ticket(s) immediately upon confirmation of your booking. A confirmation email which contains your ticket is sent to the email address you provided during the booking process.

Please look after your ticket(s) as you would cash. It must be presented to gain entry. 

The code on the ticket uniquely identifies it and can be redeemed only once. Multiple copies of the ticket will not allow multiple entries. If multiple copies are presented, we may refuse entry to all ticket holders presenting tickets with this code.

When presenting concession tickets or entering exhibitions, events, or programmes with an age restriction in place, appropriate identification must be shown. If suitable identification is not presented, you may be refused entry.

Tickets may not be on-sold, offered as a prize or used for promotional purposes without the written permission of Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki. Do not purchase this ticket from any source other than the Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki website here. Tickets purchased from any other source may be unauthorised copies and you may be refused entry.

All ticket prices are shown in NZ Dollars and include GST where applicable.

Postponements, cancellations & refunds

Tickets cannot be refunded, exchanged or cancelled once issued except in accordance with the applicable laws of Aotearoa New Zealand.

In the event of a cancellation, the purchase will be refunded directly to the card used for the original purchase.

In the event of a postponement, purchased tickets for the original date will be valid for the new date unless otherwise notified. Purchasers have the option to seek a refund for the value of the purchased ticket(s) for a postponement by contacting Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki prior to the replacement date here.

Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki conditions of entry

You (and any ticket holder using a ticket purchased by you) agree to comply with:

  1. The Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki conditions of entry found here.
  2. Any special rules and regulations that may be required for the exhibition, event or programme.
  3. All New Zealand Government mandates regarding events, gatherings and the use of vaccine requirements and/ or certificates.

Tickets will not be refunded where ticket holders do not comply with Aotearoa New Zealand Government mandates and/or Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki Terms & Conditions, unless otherwise required by law.

Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki reserves the right to refuse admission to, or eject, any person whose behaviour does not comply with the rules, regulations and/ or conditions of entry.

Changes in programme

Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki reserves the right to withdraw, replace, add or substitute artists, artworks, speakers or performers without notice.

Paid school holiday programme

The full-day programme is from 9am–3pm. Entry into the building will not be possible before 8:45 am and the children must be collected at 3pm.

These workshops are restricted to 7–12-year-olds. If it becomes apparent that the child is outside of this age range the parent will be contacted and asked to collect their child immediately.

An emergency contact name and phone number for each child must be supplied.

The name and contact number of the person picking up each child must be supplied.

The Gallery must be advised prior to the programme of any medical conditions, behavioural issues, disabilities, allergies, or special requirements that may impact on a child’s participation.

If your child is verbally or physically abusive to another child or teacher, the parent will be notified for immediate collection.
