Damian Skinner is a New Zealand Aotearoa art historian, writer and curator. He has written his thesis and several publications on New Zealand/ Dutch artist Theo Schoon (1915-1985). This archive consists of Skinner’s research on Schoon and includes several sets of photocopied letters from the artist to friends. The papers also include original letters to Skinner from people who knew Schoon and circa 500 slides covering various subjects including the drawings of artist Rolfe Hattaway (1907-1970) and artwork by Schoon.
