This is a collection of published travel guides for places where New Zealand artist Frances Hodgkins (1869-1947) stayed and painted. They were gathered by Hodgkins scholar and academic, Dr Roger Collins, who was interested in finding guides contemporaneous to Hodgkins' visits to these locations. There are seventeen guidebooks, thirteen in French and four in English.

In addition, there are exhibition catalogues and monographs related to Hodgkins.
