Helen Pollock's 'Storehouse', 1992-3 Archive

Artwork Detail
Helen Pollock (b1945) is a ceramic artist who has been exhibiting since the 1980s. 'Storehouse' was a multi-part installation that was first shown at the ASA Gallery in 1992 and then with a slight alteration, was re-exhibited at the Fisher Gallery in Pakuranga, Auckland in 1993.
The archive consists of videos and duplicate DVDs of the ritual, 'Ritual to Celebrate the Goddess Within', which occurred a week after the opening of the ASA show and involved the local 'Women's Spirituality Network'. Also included is the dance performance at the Fisher opening, photographs (some by Haru Sameshima) and written material covering both iterations of 'Storehouse'.
