Overview

Galleries get weirder when you think about them too much

A talk by Anthony Cribb.

Auckland-based installation artist Anthony Cribb will discuss 'site responsive' practices in visual art and their engagement with 'things' that are simultaneously physical entities and social constructs.

Cribb will touch on topics such as the role of people and the author in art, the 'quotidian', contingency, participation, and the institution. He will look at these topics in relation to his present project in addition to that of contemporary art in New Zealand and abroad.
