Chartwell is an
independent body whose collection of approximately 1300 works of
New Zealand and Australian contemporary art has been acquired over
25 years, through the insight, enthusiasm and diligence of trustee
Rob Gardiner.
Overview
Previously held in Hamilton, responsibility for the Chartwell
Collection has moved to Auckland where the Collection can fulfil
its objective of bringing the pleasures and challenges of
contemporary art to a larger audience.
