This educator-facilitated programme is one of our secondary programmes, but will suit some intermediate students. It focuses on encouraging critical and creative thinking in students, using original works of art as the starting point. This programme is designed to link to curriculum needs by giving students the opportunity to transfer and extend on skills and knowledge they are already developing in the classroom setting, and apply these in a real-world context.
The programme has two parts. It includes an educator-facilitated component and a separate self-guided component. The facilitated component is made up of a close analysis session focusing on specific artworks, and a separate debate responding to a focus artwork or a range of works.
