In this episode of Cultured Conversations, we welcome Liz Mitchell, member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for her services to the NZ Fashion industry, and one of New Zealand’s leading fashion designers. Liz has dressed some of New Zealand’s most high profile women including the Governor-General of New Zealand, Dame Cindy Kiro and her work has graced the red carpet at the Oscars.

We discuss Liz’s role as an Ambassador for Campaign for Wool (a global endeavour initiated in 2010 by the former Prince of Wales), the versatility and transformative nature of wool, and how government can support New Zealand’s wool industry. Liz also shares her thoughts on the role between celebrities and fashion, sustainable design, as well as the impact of fast fashion on our health and environment.
