Overview
Marti Friedlander is a pre-eminent New Zealand camera artist
whose photographic series and publications include those on
artists, writers, public events, Israel, Tokelau, wine-makers,
Māori women with moko, and children. She arrived in Auckland from
the UK in 1958 having worked in the London studio of expatriate
photographer Douglas Glass. Her archive contains an extensive
collection of negatives, black and white and colour prints,
ephemera and correspondence. Permission of the artist is required
to view the archive.
